My Approach

I am integrative in my approach, meaning I tailor the sessions towards you, drawing on many approaches for example Cognitive Behavioural Theory, Schema Therapy, Compassion Focused Therapy, Person-Centred and more.

If you are struggling with anxiety, relationships, depression, low self-esteem, addiction problems & more then you will no doubt find psychotherapy and counselling very helpful. Being honest with someone in a trustworthy setting can be a great healer

Special Interests

Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.

Generally I take a CBT approach but not always.
Including: Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD); Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD); Body Dysmorphic Disorder; Obsessive Jealousy; Relationship Anxiety, Attachment Anxiety; Health Anxiety; Social Anxiety; Panic Disorder; Phobias; Agoraphobia; Anxious Attachment Style and more.
I generally take a CBT approach and an existential approach
Including more directly: Contamination obsessions; Obsessions about harm; Unacceptable thoughts (Intrusive Thoughts: e.g. being a paedophile (P-OCD) or about being violent (stabbing a baby), immoral or sacrilegious thoughts. Thoughts about killing yourself (when you don’t want to) and doubts about whether you truly love your partner (when you do i.e. R-OCD). Doubts about your sexual orientation (for example being gay when you are actually not gay i.e. H-OCD); Obsessions about order, symmetry, exactness and things having to be ‘just right’; Sensori-motor obsessions; Existential obsessions (Why do I exist? What will happen when I die? Am I in a computer program like the Matrix? Will God be offended? Have I left another world behind? Am I in the wrong place? Are the people around me real? Do I have a head?). Also related Disorders such as: Body Dysmorphic Disorder (BDD); Obsessive Jealousy; Relationship Anxiety: Health Anxiety and more
