My Approach

I work integratively, with a strong transpersonal influence (including Jungian psychology and psychosynthesis). I see therapy as working with the whole person — mind, body, emotions, and your deeper sense of self. I trust that each of us has an inner wisdom, even if we lose touch with it during difficult times.

I’m LGBTQIA+ allied, neurodivergence-informed, and mindful of how discrimination and inequality can affect mental health.

I’m a registered member of UKCP and work in line with their Code of Ethics, with regular supervision and ongoing professional development. Everything you share with me is strictly confidential.

I’ve been working as a therapist since 2005 and hold a Master’s degree in Psychotherapy, a Postgraduate Diploma in Counselling, and a Diploma in Integrative Supervision.
Alongside my clinical work, I’ve been Editor of Private Practice (the BACP journal for counsellors and psychotherapists in private practice) since 2011, and have 10 years’ experience teaching and supervising trainee therapists.

About Me

I’m a UKCP-registered psychotherapist and clinical supervisor with 20 years’ experience, offering therapy and supervision online and in person in Bruton, Somerset.

People often come to therapy because something doesn’t feel right — in their relationships, their work, or their sense of self. You might be feeling overwhelmed, stuck, low, anxious, or at a turning point and unsure what comes next.

I offer a warm, confidential, and supportive space where you can slow down, talk openly, and make sense of what’s happening for you. Therapy is a place to be heard without judgment and to find ways forward that feel right for you.

I work with adults around:
• Relationships, communication difficulties, family relationships
• Sex and sexuality, including LGBTQIA+, gender identity
• Anxiety, excessive worry, phobias, panic attacks
• Low mood, depression, fatigue, loss of interest in living
• Alcohol, drugs, compulsive behaviours
• Self-worth, identity, confidence
• Effects of trauma, abuse, neglect
• Bereavement, ageing, major life changes
• Work stress, burnout, career change, financial pressure
• Autism, ADHD, neurodivergence
• Anger, self-harm, impulsive behaviours
• Chronic pain, long-term health conditions

Alongside talking, I may suggest simple, practical exercises or different ways of working, always at your pace and only if they feel helpful. Nothing is imposed — you stay in control.
