Art therapy can help with emotional and behavioural patterns that may be difficult to verbalise. Working with the arts in this context can help you connect-to and experience your emotions on a deep non-verbal level. Please do ask me any questions if you are curious about how the arts might support your therapeutic journey.
I run two art supervision group, more information on my website.
I am an HCPC and UKCP registered Art Psychotherapist and a registered member MBACP. I have a masters in Integrative Arts Psychotherapy; a Diploma in Child Counselling; a Diploma in the Therapeutic and Educational Application of the Arts; and I am trained in the Children’s Accelerated Trauma Treatment (CATT LEVEL II).
I am currently working towards a supervision diploma with BAAT.
I bring over 30 years experience of working within creative environments, and over 15 years experience of working psychotherapeutically using the creative process to facilitate change and help re-establish psychological growth. I have worked therapeutically with children as part of the Kids Company schools programme. And with adults in NHS clinical placements with adult survivors of sexual abuse in Oxleas; and as part of the psych-oncology team at Guy's Hospital. I have experience of working with psychotherapy trainees, teaching, tutoring, assessing and hosting placements. I currently work in an independent school, and in private practice in East Dulwich and Peckham or online.
Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.
