My approach is integrative which means I support you using a blend of modern therapeutic and more traditional approaches.
I offer counselling from two locations, both beautiful, calming consulting rooms in north London, or you can see me online.
Adults of all ages, backgrounds, cultures, sexuality and gender identity are welcome.
I’m Jo, an integrative psychotherapist. I provide a welcoming, safe space to explore personal difficulties, break old habits and navigate life’s transitions.
My qualifications include an MA in Psychotherapy, a five-year Advanced Diploma in Integrative Psychotherapy and Counselling from the Minster Centre (one of the most respected therapy training institutions in the UK), and a BA Hons in Psychology. I’m also trained in The Rewind Technique (an effective treatment for trauma).
As well as running a private practice, I’m a regular podcast host for a national mental health charity, where leading experts tell me about their clinical work and the latest in evidence-based research.
I have also worked as a volunteer counsellor for Mind and a large group psychotherapy practice in central London.
I work according to the UKCP’s code of ethics. I am also a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).
As well as private referrals, I am registered with the following health insurers: WPA, Aviva, and AXA Health.
