I offer a compassionate space to people who have been affected by a wide range of incidents, losses and suffering. I am committed to helping individuals find renewal and experience a meaningful and worthwhile life.
I have been privileged to work with individuals, couples and groups who have experienced suffering from extreme events such as terrorist attacks or other collective trauma, or critical illness. I have also provided specialist support for organisations that work with people bereaved by homicide.
As a specialist trauma counsellor, I have also worked for the NHS within intensive care and maternity service departments providing support for staff, individual patients and families.
I currently work in private practice in Ealing, West London offering counselling face-to-face and online via Zoom. For more information, to book an appointment please feel free to email me.
I originally trained at the Institute of Psychosynthesis, London and qualified in
• Diploma in Psychosynthesis Psychotherapeutic Counselling
• Diploma in Psychosynthesis Psychotherapy
• Master’s degree in Psychosynthesis Psychotherapy awarded by Middlesex University
• I am affiliated with the American Group Psychotherapy Association
In addition, my further training and experience includes
• EMDR accreditation with EMDR Association UK. EMDR is a powerful form of therapy (NICE approved) that can help recovery from traumatic events.
• Trauma focused CBT – this is another NICE recommended method for processing trauma
As a practitioner my approach is primarily rooted in psychosynthesis. Psychosynthesis is a psychology of love and will based upon the pioneering humanistic and transpersonal work of Roberto Assagioli, an Italian psychiatrist and a contemporary of Jung and Freud. In his work he placed great emphasis on integration and synthesis in times of life crisis and the awakening of will. He saw beauty and creativity, together with finding meaning, value and purpose, as central concepts for our wellbeing.
I have extensive experience in working with trauma and helping individuals and groups in the aftermath of disasters, having been directly affected by disaster first-hand. For many years I have also been training professionals in the field of collective trauma and am a co-founder of Centre for Collective Trauma , a hub dedicated to providing expertise to organisations dealing with disaster.
I also work with a broad range of other life issues, especially around life transitions and am experienced in working with neurodiversity, such as autism and ADHD.
