My core training is in Transactional Analysis psychotherapy, and I work in an integrative way. Alongside TA, I draw on relational and attachment-based approaches, polyvagal theory, Internal Family Systems (IFS), mindfulness and somatic approaches to trauma and healing. A lot of my work is about understanding how earlier relational experiences and trauma continue to show up in the present, including in relationships, emotional responses and the way people relate to themselves.
A significant part of my work involves people who have a longstanding sense of feeling different, not quite fitting in, or not fully being understood. This can sit alongside identity, neurodivergence, trauma or life experience, and often connects to difficulties with self-worth, relationships and emotional regulation.
I am a UKCP-accredited psychotherapist, working in the field since 2006 across charities, therapeutic communities and private practice. I currently work online with individual adults and couples.
I offer a warm, empathic and non-judgemental space where people can bring difficult experiences, make sense of what is going on for them, and move towards change that feels more steady and sustainable. I work with people experiencing anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, relationship difficulties, stress, burnout, the lasting impact of trauma, and challenges related to neurodivergence. Many of the people I work with are also trying to understand long-standing patterns in relationships, emotional overwhelm, or a sense of feeling “stuck” that doesn’t shift easily on its own.
I am originally from South Africa and have lived in the UK and now Sweden. My own experience of living across different cultural contexts has shaped my awareness of how identity, culture, difference and power dynamics are vital to stay attentive to. I offer a supportive space where all aspects of your own lived experience are welcome.
My training background:

Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.
