My Approach

I work in an integrative way, drawing on different types of therapy to help you feel seen and validated in your present and past experiences, and to support your growth.

I see psychotherapy as a steady, honest relationship where you don’t have to pretend you’re okay. I’m warm and engaged, listening carefully and reflecting back what I hear, to help you feel truly supported and safe in exploring patterns that may be keeping you stuck, at a pace that feels manageable for you.

My approach is also transpersonal, which simply means we can include your personal beliefs, values and spirituality if you wish. You don’t need to believe anything in particular for us to work together; this is a space where your questions and perspectives are valued and accepted.

About Me

I’m an integrative, trauma-informed psychotherapist working with adults experiencing depression, anxiety, burnout, or life confusion. Many of the people I see look like they are coping on the outside, but feel flat, overwhelmed, or quietly wonder, Is this it? Being trauma-informed means I prioritise creating a safe, validating space where you can explore difficult feelings at your own pace, fostering trust and reassurance. I offer a warm, steady space to pause, untangle what’s going on, and slowly come back to a life that feels more bearable and more true to you.

Special Interests

Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.

Living with chronic pain or long-term health conditions can affect every part of life – mood, work, relationships and how you see yourself. Including rare or poorly understood conditions, I offer space to speak honestly about fatigue, limitations, fear, and frustration, and to find kinder ways of living with your body’s reality rather than constantly fighting it.
I work with people who feel caught between different cultures, values or expectations – at home, in relationships or at work. I have particular experience supporting people of mixed and multi-heritage backgrounds, as well as those navigating migration, class and faith differences. I pay close attention to how culture, family history and silence about race can shape your inner world, and I offer a space where these experiences can be spoken about safely.
I see people who experience feeling flat, numb, suicidal, hopeless, or as if they’ve lost their sense of who they are. I offer a calm, non-judgemental space where you can talk openly about low mood, isolation, and self-critical thoughts, helping you feel supported and understood as you explore what might help you reconnect with yourself.
I am trained as a Master Facilitator in Dr Isha McKenzie-Mavinga’s Black Empathic Approach, which centres the emotional impact of racism and “recognition trauma”. In therapy, this means I take seriously how racism and internalised racism may affect your mood, relationships, body and sense of self, and I actively invite a safe-enough dialogue about these experiences. Alongside one-to-one work, I also co-facilitate workshops, training sessions, and talks on racism and the Black Empathic Approach, supporting people to move from coping alone to feeling more understood, empowered, and resourced.
Suicidal thoughts can be frightening and lonely, and I provide a steady, compassionate space to talk openly about these feelings, helping you understand and build safety around them, alongside crisis options.
