My Approach

To begin with what is most important is offering you a relaxed and welcoming space in order to get to know you, understand your perspective and the context of your life in order to support the meaningful change you are hoping to work towards. I normally offer an initial telephone call to help you decide whether I offer the right fit before committing to an initial session.

My primary modality of psychotherapy is systemic however I draw on a number of different approaches, that I have developed and integrated into my practice as a therapist. I believe that therapy is not a one-size fits all approach and expect to adapt to fit the needs and style of the family, couple or individual I work with.

Further training and approaches I use include: Mindfulness, Emotionally Focused Therapy (with couples, families and individuals), Non-Violent Resistance (NVR), Internal Family Systems (IFS) and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT).

About Me

Hi, my name is Jamie.
I am a systemic psychotherapist and clinical supervisor in private practice working with couples, families and individuals, offering both face to face and online sessions.
Any enquiries or referrals for therapy, supervision or consultation please make contact by email to: Jamieson.Little@gmail.com

In 2014, I completed the four-year Masters level clinical training to qualify as a Family & Systemic Psychotherapist from the Institute of Family Therapy. My background before therapy was in children and families social work and before this in youth and community work.

I have completed a range of post qualifying training including the Systemic Supervisor training in 2020 at the University of Exeter. I have done extensive training in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) for couples, individuals and families. I have a profile on the BEFT and ICEEFT websites. I have completed the Level One Training in Internal Family Systems (IFS) and completed the Advanced level training in Non-Violent Resistance (NVR). As part of my private practice I also offer supervision and consultation to trainees, psychotherapists and organisations.

I am based in central London for regular face to face sessions.
- Euston (WC1X 0BS) on Wednesday evenings
- West End (W1G 9JB) on Thursday evenings

I am a member of the West London Therapy Hub and often use the therapy rooms at Earls Court (SW4), West Hampstead (NW6) and Islington (EC1V). If you are wanting a regular sessions at these venues then I would always try to accommodate this request if my availability allows.and offer online sessions at various times.

I offer all prospective clients an introdutory 30-minute video call which gives us a chance to meet each other and for me to hear why you are seeking therapy. I use a range of therapeutic approaches and techniques to flexibly meet the client's needs, which we can discuss. I can also explain more broadly how I work and answer any of your questions.
Please note that I never expect anyone to decide whether to proceed to an initial session until after the call.

Any enquiries or referrals for therapy, supervision or consultation please make contact by email to: Jamieson.Little@gmail.com
Thank you for your interest. I look forward to hearing from you.
