My Approach

I see therapy as a journey towards becoming more of ourselves, beyond our history and our wounding towards being authentic. Maybe the issue, crisis or feeling of depression that brings you to therapy is also an opportunity for growth, to live more fully. And at the same time, there is suffering. We can hold both. Maybe there are some patterns keeping you stuck, we can look at those together, creating more awareness and choice to do it differently, to break the pattern. We are all on a journey and sometimes it can be very painful being human in this world. I can't give you the answers but I can help you to find your own answers, walking alongside you as a guide. We can also look towards the more positive aspects of life, how you would like your life to be, which becomes more and more possible as we start to see where our history may be keeping us stuck.

About Me

I am a psychotherapist working from my home practice in Sutton Coldfield. I trained at The Institute of Psychosynthesis in London and I have an MA is Psychosynthesis Psychology from Middlesex University as well as PG Diplomas in Psychotherapy, psychotherapeutic counselling and counselling. I work with trauma and complex trauma, as well as with those who sense there's something more, perhaps sensing something is missing, who may be looking to live differently, more authentically, and really take hold of their lives and create genuine choice.

Special Interests

Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.

Addiction comes in many forms. Whether it's a substance addiction or a process addiction we can shed some light on what is underlying the addictive behaviour. If you are in active addiction I recommend getting some additional recovery support alongside therapy.
Sometimes we face crises as we go through life. As we loop another turn of the spiral, we might feel a sense of panic, maybe around not living fully and people not really knowing who we are because we haven't felt comfortable enough to show our true selves. This sense of panic may be a call from within to live more authenticity, spend some time with it. It could change you're life.
Anxiety can stop us from living more fully and expressing who we are and our gifts to the world. It is also a gateway to our creativity and our will, and can be related to us not being quite able to stand in our ground and take our place in the world, which is painful. What might your anxiety be pointing to?
If you feel a dissatisfaction with life, an urge to do more, to be more, to stop feeling like you have no choice, maybe that is something really worth listening to, maybe it's a call from within to realign.
Just when we think we are past it trauma can pop back up. Or maybe we didn't know we even held trauma. It's as if the psyche is checking whether you are ready to look at this yet. Maybe it's time?
