My Approach

I believe that every person has an innate capacity for growth, healing, and transformation. My work is rooted in a deep respect for the human experience in all its complexity, blending talking therapy with somatic, creative, and embodied practices to support meaningful change. I see therapy as a collaborative journey — one in which you are supported, heard, and gently encouraged to step into new possibilities.

With over 20 years of training and experience, I offer a therapeutic space that is warm, compassionate, and non-judgmental, yet also gently challenging when it serves your growth. My integrative approach means I draw on a range of therapeutic traditions and tailor each session to meet your individual needs. I have done many extra trainings in Psychotherapeutic methods which enhances what I can offer you.

About Me

I am a qualified Psychotherapist with over 20 years experience. I am accredited with the UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP), holding an MA in Psychotherapy and Counselling and an Advanced Diploma in Integrative Psychotherapy from Regent’s College, London. My specialist training includes creative arts therapies, (Vital Development® Facilitator of movement), Source Breathwork , trauma work, and working with neurological impairments.
I also hold a BSc in Management Studies, which gives me insight into the challenges of professional and organisational life.

I work within the UKCP Ethical Framework for Good Practice in Counselling and Psychotherapy, and I hold full professional indemnity insurance. I continue to attend courses and ongoing learning.
I am accredited with Bupa and AXA healthcare insurers.

Special Interests

Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.

I grew up in a family who ran nursing homes and medical establishments and have understanding and experience with working with older clients, both providing activities, offering counselling in peoples homes and now in my private practice. Issues might include physical and mental decline and fears around mortality, family and maximising independence.
I work with clients who experience deep depression from life events, trauma, childhood issues, illness and blocks to life. I incorporate many tools ranging from CBT to help break the negative and unhelpful thinking and behaviours. I also find expressive arts and myths and movement can offer a deeper way to understand the meaning in the depression and find light in the darkness.
I have personal experience with issues around this topic and am sensitive to issues around struggles with infertility, loss, exploring options, pregnancy and birth support.
We are all in relationships and some can support us and others are the source of our struggles, stress and trauma. I can help you release conflict and understand your part in the dynamic, through Transactional Analysis (Parent, adult and child psychological states, and family scripts), interpersonal therapy and additional insights through Family Constellation method, impact of Birth, and a Transpersonal view of your life path.
Having managed a Rehabilitation for people with acquired brain injuries I understand the complexities of managing staff, leading and developing an organisation caring with high needs patients on a 24/7 basis. I worked on developing systems, teams, HR and patient services. It gives me a pragmatic understanding of organisational issues and work related issues.
