My Approach

My relationship-based, creative approach to therapy is child-centred. I support safe exploration and expression of difficult thoughts and feelings using PACE (playfulness, acceptance, curiosity and empathy). Sand-tray work, clay, movement, art, play, music and talking are just some of the ways we might work together towards positive change. Children and young people don't always have the words to say how they feel. The creative arts and play can help children express themselves in other ways.

About Me

I work with children and young people, ages 5 to 18 years, who are experiencing emotional difficulties and are struggling with their mental health. I involve parents and carers regularly where appropriate as a child is far more likely to benefit from therapy when we all work together. I have a Master’s degree in Integrative Child Psychotherapy together with years of experience of working within CAMHS.
