Hilary is a highly trained psychotherapeutic counsellor with extensive experience of working with a wide range of issues and age ranges. For 15 years Hilary was the Director and Clinical Lead of a thriving community based charity in Oxfordshire that offers affordable counselling to young people and adults. The service had over 50 counsellors and psychotherpist who made up a strong community of practitioners. Hilary was also a Tutor at the Unversity of Oxford on the Postgraduate diploma in Psychodynamic Counselling which is part of the MSt program. She currently supervises several counsellors both students and qualified therapists. Hilary has a Postgraduate diploma and Masters in Psychodynamic Practice from Oxford University and has undergone training in Brief Dynamic Interpersonal Therapy. She also has a training that meets the BACP requirements to work with young people from the age of 12years. She originally trained as a Registered Nurse and has worked both in the NHS as Clinical and Professional lead for GP Practice based counselling in Oxfordshire and in Education. Hilary's work is underpinned by a strong ethical code and believes that the therapeutic relationship is key to transformational change and being able to engage individuals in the process is fundamental to the way she works with clients.
