I work with issues such as anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, feelings of being 'stuck,' trauma, abuse, bereavement/loss, and interpersonal difficulties. I have a particular interest in early relational and attachment difficulties - e.g. emotional and physical neglect, adoption, twins, boarding school experiences, and being a ""replacement child."
In terms of how I work, I offer both once- and twice-weekly, open-ended therapy. I work from my consulting room in Surrey, and I am available for both in-person and online therapy.
I believe in creating a warm and collaborative relationship with clients, providing a safe, supportive and humane environment in which growth, development and healing can take place. I also believe in the importance of addressing how painful experiences find expression in the body, as well as in the heart and mind.
I'm a Psychodynamic Psychotherapist, which means I specialise in helping clients understand and process how past painful or traumatic experiences might be impacting upon their lives and relationships in the present.
I trained at WPF Therapy, saw clients in their London Bridge clinic, and have been in private practice for over 5 years.
Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.
