Holistic Integrative and Relational
I'm an Holistic Integrative psychotherapist, which means I incorporate a variety of theories and systems into my approach to understanding you, your problems, and adapting and adjusting to the specific needs of our work. I work relationally and phenomenologically with clients; which means that I focus on the importance of the relationship between client and therapist as the process through which we understand and work through your life experiences; and phenomenologically means that we focus on every part of how your experience unfolds in the therapy work, moment by moment. I have experience working with a variety of issues and experiences, including bereavement, domestic abuse, relationship issues and separation, parental separation and loss, and other childhood experiences. In reality, whatever the issue is that brings you to seek therapy, you bring your whole self, your whole history, into the room and we work together to make sense of your experience in context of your life.
Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.
