My approach is integrative, which means I can draw from a wide range of therapeutic approaches in supporting your uniqueness.
Within this, I work in an embodied, relational, way. This means I invite curiosity and awareness to the relationship we have with both others and ourselves. Through this, we might uncover deeply-rooted beliefs, and ways of relating that no longer serve you, and now inhibit your fullness of life. This may include drawing awareness to our relationship with our body. The body can be a great resource when working through trauma. The more rooted and connected we are to ourselves - including our body - the more we have the capacity to deeply, authentically, connect with others.
I’m a fully-qualified and accredited psychotherapist, with 10 years experience in private practice. I trained at Bath Centre for Psychotherapy and Counselling, where I was awarded both a diploma and Masters degree in Humanistic and Integrative Psychotherapy.
As well as several years in private practise, I have experience of working in drug and alcohol addiction charity, ‘Swan’, and training in grief & loss, codependency, bodywork, trauma and self harm, plus clinical experience in a further variety of issues.
As an integrative psychotherapist, I draw from a wide range of approaches as I believe no one person or relationship is the same and wholeheartedly welcome your individuality.
Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.
