I started my therapy career with a qualification in Psychodynamic Counselling and then completed additional training as an Integrative Psychotherapist. I am also a qualified Mediator and Restorative Justice Practitioner and I continue to have a keen interest in family conflict.
My experience allows me to support clients with a wide range of difficulties in my private practice, including anxiety, anger issues, depression, suicidal thoughts, stress, loneliness, low self-esteem, addiction, bereavement and relationship issues.
Alongside my private practice, I currently work with a homeless charity in St Albans, a charity in North Finchley for adults and in Hatfield for teenagers. I offer psychotherapy to both adults and teenagers, and specialise in trauma, anxiety and family conflict.
The idea of entering counselling can come with all sorts of reservations and worries, and taking the first step takes courage. Whatever difficulties you may be encountering, therapy can offer other ways of coping and perspective. I use a creative, dynamic approach which works with all ages, including young adults.
My job is to understand and explore whatever feelings you maybe having right now. To be heard and understood is vital. It might also be important to look back into your past and understand if any aspects of it are still affecting you today. We can work towards some real positive change in whatever area is important to you.
Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.
