My Approach

I believe there’s no one-size-fits-all path to healing, so I adapt my methods to your unique needs - drawing from a range of therapeutic approaches to create a way of working that feels right for you. In our time together, you’ll find a non-judgemental space where your lived experience is honoured and I’m genuinely curious about your interpersonal world. Together we’ll co-create a personalised journey of self-discovery that nurtures growth, connection and lasting change.

About Me

I’m Heath, an experienced Integrative Psychotherapist with extensive training across multiple therapeutic disciplines and Non-Violent Resistance (NVR) principles, all grounded in a commitment to reducing harm in human interaction. My work has been described by Dr. Herward Wilkinson, author of The Muse as Therapist, as “profoundly intuitive,” and I strive to bring caring empathy and knowledgeable guidance to every session. I’m here to walk alongside you in a warm, supportive partnership as you explore your journey.

Special Interests

Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.

I have significant experience supporting adoptive and foster parents, as well as young people in care with compassion and deep understanding. Through my work with Headsight Services, I’ve helped families navigate the unique pressures of adoption - supporting them to meet their children’s complex needs while setting kind, firm and thoughtful boundaries. I offer a non-judgemental space where each family’s journey is honoured and nurturing relationships can grow.
Exploring identity can be a deeply personal and sometimes challenging journey. As a male therapist, I offer a grounded, open and respectful space for clients to reflect on who they are beneath external expectations and internalised narratives. I’m passionate about supporting people in discovering a more authentic sense of self, where all parts of their identity are acknowledged, valued and empowered.
I have extensive experience supporting parents facing a wide range of challenges with a compassionate, trauma-informed approach at the heart of my work. Drawing on therapeutic parenting strategies, Non-Violent Resistance (NVR), and psycho-education (particularly around attachment, child developmental needs, emotional triggers and de-escalation). I help parents feel more confident and connected in their role. I have particular expertise in supporting families dealing with child-to-parent violence, creating space for calm, respectful and effective change.
Spirituality can be a powerful source of meaning, connection and inner strength - especially in times of healing. I hold space for clients exploring spiritual questions, whether rooted in a faith tradition, nature, intuition or a personal sense of the sacred, and I deeply honour the journey of trusting the process and the unfolding of the universe. Together we can gently explore how your spiritual path can support your growth, healing and sense of wholeness.
Trauma is not what happens to us, but what happens inside us as a result - and healing begins when we feel truly seen, safe and supported. My work is informed by the compassionate insights of Gabor Maté, Bessel van der Kolk and Dr. Nadine Burke Harris, and I bring years of experience helping individuals gently reconnect with their inner resilience. I offer a warm, grounded space where your story matters, and together, we can begin the process of healing with care and curiosity.
