My Approach

My approach however, is integrative therapy, an open system approach, with a transpersonal element. I consider the needs of my clients and adapt my approach accordingly.

About Me

Special Interests

Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.

My interest in ADHD as a therapist is grounded in a commitment to helping clients feel understood, respected, and supported in practical as well as emotional ways. By specialising in this area, I aim to offer therapy that recognises both the challenges and the strengths associated with ADHD, while supporting clients to develop self-knowledge, confidence, and sustainable strategies for everyday life.
As a therapist, I am interested in autism and neuro-divergence because I recognise that a deeper understanding of each person’s individual needs, strengths, communication style, and personal experiences can assist with their specific personal challenges that life has thrown at them. The autistic spectrum affects people in different ways, so it is important for me to recognise that every autistic person is unique and may require different forms of support. By learning more about autism and difference, I now better understand how factors such as sensory sensitivities, social communication, routines, anxiety, and emotional regulation directly affects a person’s daily life and wellbeing.
As a therapist, my interest in trauma comes from recognising how deeply adverse experiences can shape a person’s emotional, psychological, relational, and physical wellbeing. Trauma is often not limited to a single event; it can influence how people understand themselves, relate to others, manage stress, and experience safety in the world.
