Whatever reason brings you to therapy, my commitment to you will always acknowledge you as the whole en-souled spiritual being as we work together to address your concerns.
Supporting traditional therapeutic theories: Humanistic, Psychodynamic, Existential, and Transpersonal I will support you in achieving goals and potential, understand, manage difficult emotions, achieve better personal or professional relationships, understand and examine negative thought patterns and transform any defence/survival strategies, that may have originated in childhood, and are now working against your best interests.
I may draw on recognised creative techniques to explore more deeply the presenting core-issues to identify if core personal/inherited/cultural beliefs contribute the affects around presenting or long standing concerns or challenges about identity (who am I) self -worth-esteem, authenticity, perfectionism, lack of libido, will-power, or the understanding and energy to complete tasks. Creative techniques such as dream-work, sand tray, inner child-work or creative-imagination, guided visualisation, may be used for creating a symbolic-language and vocabulary to be able to articulate and give form to difficult overwhelming emotions and feelings in the body.
By tailoring a psychodynamic, integrative, creative and transpersonal approach to your needs I will endeavour to support you throughout your therapeutic journey where self-awareness, deeper understanding, compassion, self-love and wisdom will enable you to make desired change, achieve goals as you come align with your true-authentic self and nature.
All the creative-techniques I draw on in my work with you will be related to my training and practice as an accredited and registered transpersonal psychotherapist.
I am a registered UKCP and accredited MBACP psychotherapist having completed my training at the Centre for Counselling and Psychotherapy Education (CCPE) in Maida Vale . My approach is integrative, psychodynamic, creative and transpersonal.
In former years I trained as a Hatha-yoga teacher and continue to work with adults in my capacity as a trained Shamanic counsellor.
Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.
