Together we'll explore and make sense of what you're going through. I hold a compassionate and understanding space where you can talk about what's going on in your life. We might discuss current issues or explore how your past experiences shape your choices and reactions now.
I offer a free 30minute call before our first appointment.
Life can sometimes feel really difficult. You might need support to process and build your life after trauma; you might find that you are putting other people before yourself or pleasing others; you might feel anxious, stressed or depressed without realising why; or you might need specialist help as you navigate perinatal (the period from pre-conception to post-birth) and maternal mental health issues. I work relationally in a trauma-informed way and create a safe and supportive environment for your healing journey.
I have a Masters degree-level Diploma in Transactional Analysis from an Integrative Perspective from the Manchester Institute of Psychotherapy. I have also completed specialist training in outdoor therapy, domestic abuse, dissociation, identity and perinatal psychotherapy (which encompasses difficulties from pre-conception and infertility to post birth).
I have experience of working in a trauma-informed way with depression, anxiety, infertility, survivors of domestic abuse and child abuse, perfectionism and trauma.
My background is in the migration charity sector and I have worked in a fast-paced, high-stress environment whilst supporting staff and volunteers from around the world.
Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.
