My Approach

There is no one-size-fits-all approach to therapy. You may be struggling with anxiety, low mood, low self-esteem, relationship difficulties, loss, a significant change in your life, or a recurring feeling of being stuck. Whatever brings you to therapy, I will work with you as an individual— not as a diagnosis or a collection of symptoms.
We will begin with your experience as you live it: the thoughts, feelings, relationships and situations that matter most to you. You do not need to arrive with a clear explanation of what is wrong. We can begin wherever feels most important or difficult.
I work psychoanalytically; some people call it psychodynamic therapy. Alongside what is happening in the present, we may explore patterns that are less immediately visible but can shape how you feel and relate to others. Earlier experiences and relationships can affect the ways we protect ourselves, manage strong feelings and respond to difficulty. Patterns that were once necessary or helpful can, over time, become restrictive.
Therapy is not about imposing an explanation or offering a quick fix. It offers time and space to think together, carefully and without judgement, about experiences that feel painful, confusing or repetitive. Greater understanding can bring relief, more freedom in how you respond, and the possibility of lasting change.

About Me

I am a psychoanalytic psychotherapist offering face-to-face therapy in London Bridge/Southwark and Kings Cross, as well as online therapy. I also offer a limited number of appointments in South Croydon, CR2.
I completed a six-year clinical training in psychoanalytic psychotherapy at the Guild of Psychotherapists, following an earlier training as a counsellor. Before becoming a therapist, I worked in teaching and education, specialising in Psychology, Philosophy, Ethics and Mathematics.
My experience includes private practice, work in a community-based drug and alcohol treatment service, and work as an honorary therapist at the Guild of Psychotherapist’s low-fee clinic. In addition, I have worked with people from varied social, cultural and professional backgrounds, including those affected by addiction, displacement, major change and long-standing emotional difficulties.
This work has made me attentive to the practical pressures, relationships and wider circumstances that shape a personʼs emotional life. I have also served as a trustee of a psychoanalytic training organisation, which reflects my commitment to ethical practice, professional reflection and continuing development.

Special Interests

Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.

Because living in a constant state of overthinking and vigilance is exhausting, and with the right support it can shift.
Because each relationship can bring its own challenges and transitions, and can often unsettle who we are, inviting deeper questions about direction, purpose, and authenticity.
Because your sexual self is a vital part of who you are, and exploring it safely can bring greater confidence, authenticity, and ease in yourself and relationships.
Because our search for meaning - whether rooted in established faiths or more personal evolving beliefs - can both sustain us and, at times, unsettle or challenge us deeply.
Because sustained pressure—whether in high-responsibility roles like teaching or beyond—can quietly diminish clarity, resilience, and a sense of self.
