My style of integrated therapy leans on psychodynamic and trauma-informed approaches and utilises aspects of existential theory and practise both short term (12 weeks) and open-ended therapy.
I offer one-to-one psychotherapy for adults in South West London, in person and online. Starting therapy can elicit many feelings — excitement, apprehension, fear, anxiety and so on. Finding the right fit with the right therapist is an important part of the process which strengthens the therapeutic relationship and is linked to improved outcomes. My therapeutic approach aims to be friendly, non-judgemental and collaborative, working to establish a secure space that allows us to unpack and explore issues that are impacting your life.
I'm an integrative therapist, meaning I am trained to use different therapeutic modalities to inform the work we undertake together. Part of this is a focus on the relationship between therapist and client which can help us both understand relational and behavioural patterns and the impact these may have in all areas of life.
I lean on psychodynamic practice, trauma-informed techniques and existential concepts. and am trained in Mentalisation Based Therapy. I believe my clients to be experts in their own experiences, and work relationally to explore how they live, experience and relate to the world and others, unpacking deeply held beliefs with the aim of long-lasting change.
I have an MA in Psychotherapy and Counselling from Regents University and a Post Graduate Diploma and work in the NHS offering medium term integrated therapy with a trauma-informed lens, and with personality disorders in a secondary care setting specialising in Mentalisation Based Treatment, alongside my private practice.
Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.
