My Approach

I am here to walk by your side, not tell you where to go. I offer a space where you can slow down, reflect, and begin to make sense of inner conflicts and patterns, opening up new ways of relating to yourself and others in your life.

I am a trauma-informed psychotherapist and adapt how we work to suit you. I draw on Internal Family Systems (IFS) alongside other ways of working, allowing the therapy to unfold at your pace.

About Me

Taking the first step into therapy can feel daunting, and finding someone you feel comfortable with matters. I offer a warm, confidential space where you can explore what is going on for you, at your own pace.

I work with adults facing a wide range of life challenges, including relationship or family difficulties, career concerns, bereavement and loss, and the cumulative pressures of everyday life. People often come feeling disconnected, struggling with self-esteem or confidence, or with a sense that something is not quite right.

Alongside this, I work with adults impacted by trauma, including difficult childhood experiences, emotional neglect, attachment difficulties, or the impact of boarding school. I also work with people affected by PTSD following significant or overwhelming life events.

I am certified in Adult ADHD and work with adults, whether through a recent diagnosis or a long-standing sense of being different.

Special Interests

Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.

ADHD can affect many areas of life, including focus and organisation, emotional regulation, relationships, and self-esteem. You may experience a sense of inner chaos, periods of burnout or exhaustion, overwhelm, strong emotional reactions, or a long-standing feeling of being different or out of step with others. I am certified to work with adults with ADHD, whether through a recent diagnosis or a growing recognition that ADHD traits may be shaping their experiences.
Anxiety can show up in many ways, including constant worry, a sense of unease, racing thoughts, physical tension, or panic attacks. You may find yourself overthinking, feeling on edge, or struggling to switch off, even when things appear to be going well. I work with adults experiencing anxiety and can help you to understand what may be driving it and how it connects to your wider life, relationships, and history. Therapy can offer a space to slow things down, make sense of what is happening beneath the surface, and find a steadier way of being with yourself.
Post-traumatic stress can follow overwhelming or frightening experiences and may show up as hypervigilance, intrusive memories, emotional numbness, dissociation, sleep disturbance, or a sense of being constantly on edge. These responses are not signs of weakness, but understandable ways the nervous system adapts to threat, often long after the danger has passed. I work with adults affected by post-traumatic stress and am trained in Trauma-Informed Stabilisation Treatment (TIST). My approach places emphasis on safety, pacing, and stabilisation, supporting you to make sense of your responses and to explore what has been carried forward in a way that feels contained and manageable.
I work with adults around relationship difficulties in many forms, including dating, separation, divorce, intimate relationships, family, friendships, and work relationships. You may be dealing with the ending of a relationship, ongoing conflict, distance, or a sense of feeling unseen or misunderstood. Relationship difficulties are often influenced by earlier experiences and attachments, even when this is not immediately obvious. Therapy can offer a space to reflect on how you relate to others and to yourself, and to gently understand what may be shaping your relationships now.
Trauma is not always about a single event and can be hard to name, yet its effects often show up in the present, shaping how you feel about yourself, how you relate to others, and how safe or settled life feels. I work with adults affected by trauma following overwhelming or significant life events, including PTSD, as well as trauma experienced in childhood through emotional neglect, sexual or physical abuse, difficult or complex family environments, attachment difficulties, and the impact of boarding school. I am trained in Trauma-Informed Stabilisation Treatment (TIST) and work with careful attention to pace and safety, supporting exploration in a way that feels contained and manageable.
