I am an integrative practitioner, working within the UKCP ethical framework, working with children and young people. I value the co-creation of a meaningful therapeutic relationship and where appropriate, incorporate creative interventions to support individuals to express themselves, and work through any difficulties they may bring. I have supported people with a range of difficulties
including anxiety, depression, body image and self-esteem, relationship issues, self-harm, bereavement, and loss. I have a particular interest in attachment issues, developmental and relational trauma. In my practice I recognise the importance of the working relationship I develop with clients, always respecting difference and diversity. I strive to offer a safe, confidential, and non-judgemental space, where individuals feel comfortable, respected, and understood.
I hold an up-to-date enhanced DBS check and a level 3 safeguarding certificate, which can be provided upon request.
I offer 50-minute sessions, which take place at my private practice in Cambridge or online.
Background:
Alongside my private practice, I have worked as an Associate Counsellor in schools, the NHS and charity settings.
My work is informed by my training, a postgraduate diploma in Child & Adolescent Psychotherapeutic Counselling at The University of Cambridge. I am an accredited clinical member of UKCP and UPCA, and as a condition of my membership, I attend regular clinical supervision and CPD. I have more than 17 years’ experience of working with children, young people, and parents/carers in a variety of settings. Before training as a therapist, I worked as a Family Worker and an Adoption Support Worker for Cambridgeshire County Council.
