My Integrative training means I integrate person-centred, cognitive behavioural, and psychodynamic theories to create a relational space attuned to my clients' needs. It's important to me that my clients feel safe, heard, and affirmed so we can develop a secure therapeutic relationship where we explore the difficulties, problems, and needs that led you to seek counselling, make sense of what's happening, and understand yourself.
Hi there, my name is Esther. After many years working in the charity sector with families, children, and young people, I began my most important journey: understanding myself so I could better understand others and become an Integrative Psychotherapeutic Counsellor. I have 20 years of experience supporting young people, individuals in communities, counselling services, and local authority settings. I hold a BSc (Hons) in Integrative Psychotherapeutic Counselling and an Advanced Diploma in Integrative Counselling & Psychotherapy. I bring particular expertise in trauma, attachment, development of the self, depression and neurodiversity, having worked extensively with individuals navigating complex trauma and challenges in relationships.
Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.
