I work mainly with parents and their children together, but I also see patients individually, often as part of a family therapy treatment process. I will also often meet with parents or a parental couple to better understand their concerns, difficulties or needs in relation to their child's difficulty.
I have worked as a family therapist for the NHS since 2009 but have worked with children and families since the 1990s.
My main area of interest is in child and adolescent eating disorders having worked exclusively in that field for 14 years. I am also very interested in working with children, young people and their families where attachment relationships might have become strained, leading to disconnection and depression in young people.
Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.
