I am a qualified, Relational Integrative psychotherapist, having completed a 5-year UKCP-accredited training. As an integrative psychotherapist, I draw on different therapeutic models and tailor my approach to what works best for you, rather than following a rigid formula. As research shows, the quality of the relationship between client and therapist is a key factor in meaningful change. From this perspective, I offer a space that is non-judgmental, warm, and entirely focused on you. My role is to help you explore your thoughts, feelings and emotions at your own pace.
I believe therapy works best when it's collaborative. It isn't about me fixing you or telling you what to do. Instead, it's a space where you can speak freely without judgement, explore what's going on beneath the surface, and start to understand yourself better. As your therapist, I'm here to listen deeply, ask thoughtful questions, and walk alongside you as you find your own way forward. Together, we can create clarity where there's confusion and help you reconnect with what matters most to you.
I work with adults (over 18) on an individual basis, both in-person and online via a secure video platform. I offer both short-term and long-term therapy, either open-ended or for a mutually agreed number of sessions. Some people come for a few sessions to work through a specific issue. Others stay longer, using therapy as a space to explore deeper patterns and find lasting change. There's no expectation either way.
Some of the areas I work with regularly are: anxiety, depression, self-esteem, relationship difficulties, bereavement, redundancy, loss, health anxiety, health-related issues, work or study related stress, life changes and identity.
I offer a free 20-minute consultation by phone, or video call. This is your chance to ask questions, tell me a bit about what's brought you to therapy, and see if we're a good fit. There's no obligation. It’s simply an opportunity to start a conversation and help you make an informed decision about your next steps. If you feel like I am the right fit for you, we can then arrange an initial session.
Before becoming a psychotherapist, I spent nearly a decade working in IT, in the not-for-profit (third) sector. I found myself drawn to roles where I could support people more directly, working with frontline teams who helped refugees and other vulnerable groups. My passion for this led me to retrain as an Integrative Psychotherapist. Through my own experience of psychotherapy during a difficult period, I discovered just how transformative the right support can be.
Before I started my formal training, I volunteered at a charity, working with people in suicidal crisis. It was humbling work that taught me the importance of truly being present with someone in their darkest moments. During my training I worked with those facing homelessness, supporting people experiencing complex trauma, addiction, and serious mental health difficulties. I've also worked within an IAPT service, providing short-term therapy for adults referred through their GPs, in an educational setting, and more recently in private practice.
What draws me to this work is simple: I'm genuinely interested in people and the unique dynamics of relationships that impact them. I believe therapy works best when it's collaborative, when you feel truly heard, and when there's space for you to explore things at your own pace.
Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.
