My Approach

Psychosynthesis Psychotherapy.
Couple Psychotherapy.
In Psychotherapy we aim to transform our deep causes of pain, confusion and distress, develop resilience and a capacity to bear difficult experience when it arises, and work towards a greater sense of meaning, satisfaction and freedom in our lives.
Whether meeting online or in person, we will establish a safe and confidential space where you can begin to share what is troubling you and open to a deeper exploration, support and understanding.
Psychotherapy is often a long term commitment of many months or years but it can be tailored to a shorter term work depending on circumstances. Sessions are usually arranged weekly or 50 minutes (60 minutes for couples)

About Me

Originally trained in Psychosynthesis Psychotherapy to MA level, I also draw on over 30 years of Buddhist and mindfulness practice and various post-qualification trainings and study; the latter include childhood trauma, abuse and adverse experience (ACEs); complex PTSD and dissociative disorders; addictions; relationships; analytic psychology; the environment and ecopsychology. I also work with counsellors and psychotherapists in training and as a clinical supervisor.

If you are interested to come, we begin with an initial appointment to talk, find out what is bringing you to therapy and explore whether this might be a good place for you to start. This can then be followed by weekly therapy sessions, based either in the Downland village of Poynings, near Brighton at the foot of the South Downs, or at the Brighton Consulting Rooms adjacent to Preston Park Station in Brighton.
Fees are £65 for individuals, and £85 for couples. Individual therapy sessions are for 50 minutes and couple therapy sessions for 60 minutes.
