Therapy offers a chance to slow down and explore what is happening in your life. You may be experiencing anxiety or depression, difficulties in your relationships, low self-esteem, stress or burnout, or struggling with a significant change or loss. I provide a thoughtful, compassionate space in which you can talk openly, make sense of your experiences and develop a deeper understanding of yourself and what you need.
I work relationally as I believe the relationship between therapist and client is an important part of the therapeutic process, and I aim to bring warmth, openness and genuine curiosity to our work together. As an integrative psychotherapist, I draw on different therapeutic approaches and I consider both your past and present experiences and relationships, your culture, physical and mental health, your work and everything else that is important to you.
Therapy is not a quick fix and can sometimes be challenging. I won't tell you what you should do; instead, I will support you in exploring your thoughts, feelings and experiences, understanding yourself more deeply and making choices that feel right for you.
Sessions are typically weekly, on the same day and time and last for 50 minutes. I offer a complimentary 20 minute initial consultation, giving us an opportunity to meet, talk about what has brought you to therapy and consider whether we might be a good fit to work together.
Hello and thank you for checking my profile. My name is Elia, I am a qualified integrative psychotherapist, offering online, individual therapy to adults based in the UK and internationally.
I work with clients experiencing a wide range of emotional and psychological difficulties, including but not limited to anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, stress and burnout, bereavement and loss, life transitions and the impact of difficult or traumatic experiences.
I have a corporate background, with decades of experience working in the City. I understand the pressures of demanding, fast-paced professional environments, the stress of navigating workplace relationships and politics, and the difficulty of maintaining a healthy work-life balance.
I work both in English and Greek.
Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.
