My aim is to provide a non-judgemental safe space that allows those present to explore, understand and begin to resolve relational issues they wish to address.
I have worked in the NHS for forty eight years initially training as a general nurse. I then completed my mental health nurse training. I completed my MSc in Systemic/Family at the Family Therapy and Research Centre at Leeds University. I later completed the Accredited Systemic Supervisor Training in Birmingham. I am a AFSP and UKCP Family and Systemic Psychotherapist and Accredited Systemic Supervisor. As a family therapist my current NHS role involves seeing adult families/couples within BABS, (Building Attachment and Bonding Service). I had previously worked in Adult Psychotherapy Services as a Senior Systemic/Family Psychotherapist. I also work with adults individually, where unresolved issues from the past continue to have a detrimental impact upon their current relationships. I have a special interest in Peri-Natal Mental Health, attachment/separation issues and work with families, parents, couples pre and post birth.
Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.
