I am a Family and Systemic Psychotherapist with extensive experience working with clients from multi-cultural backgrounds. I am a qualified UKCP Family and Systemic Psychotherapist, and a Clinical Fellow of both the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT) and the Asian Academy of Family Therapy (AAFT).
Over the past fifteen years, I have worked with families and couples from Hong Kong, Korea, Japan, , Malaysia, Taiwan, and mainland China, as well as clients from Europe and the Americas. I have a particular interest in cross-cultural couple relationships and adjustment issues experienced by new immigrants, especially where differing cultural expectations, values, and relational patterns intersect.
I work with individuals, couples, and families, and am familiar with a broad range of presenting issues, including relationship conflict, marital crisis, children’s emotional and behavioural concerns, adolescent personal development, and wider family-related difficulties.
In addition to my independent clinical work, I also work within Child and Young People's Mental Health Services (CYPCYMHS) inpatient services as a Highly Specialist Family and Systemic Psychotherapist, contributing systemic and family-based interventions in complex clinical settings.
Language: English, Cantonese and Mandarin
Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.
