You may be considering therapy because something in your life no longer feels manageable or meaningful. Perhaps you are experiencing anxiety, low mood, difficulties in relationships, the effects of trauma, questions around sexuality or identity, or a sense of feeling disconnected from yourself.
I offer a warm, thoughtful and non-judgemental space in which you can speak openly about what you are experiencing. Therapy is not about treating you as someone who needs to be fixed. It is an opportunity to understand yourself more fully, explore patterns that may be causing distress, and find ways of living that feel more integrated and authentic.
I work with adults experiencing a range of emotional, relational and existential difficulties, including:
• anxiety and depression
• complex trauma and sexual trauma
• sexuality and identity-related concerns
• relationship difficulties
• emotional distress and disconnection
• life transitions, loss of direction and existential crisis
• questions of spirituality, meaning and purpose
I also work with couples who would like to better understand their relational patterns, improve communication and develop a deeper sense of connection.
My approach is existential, integrative and relational. This means that I will not impose a fixed formula on you. Instead, we will work collaboratively, paying attention to your individual history, relationships, emotional experience, values and the wider context of your life.
My background in psychosomatics also informs my awareness of how emotional experiences may be held and expressed through the body. Where appropriate, therapy may include attention to embodied experience, alongside thoughts, emotions and relationships.
I hold a doctorate in Counselling Psychology and Psychotherapy. I am a Chartered Psychologist, an HCPC-registered Counselling Psychologist and a UKCP-registered psychotherapist. I have worked across a range of clinical settings with people experiencing both longstanding and more immediate difficulties.
My academic and clinical interests include sexuality, sexual trauma, identity, spirituality, purpose and meaning. I welcome clients from different cultural backgrounds, identities, belief systems and ways of life.
I offer online psychotherapy to clients in the UK and internationally, this enables me to provide a consistent therapeutic space to clients who may travel, live abroad or prefer the accessibility of remote sessions.
The relationship between therapist and client is central to the work. An initial conversation can give us an opportunity to consider what has brought you to therapy, what you may need, and whether working together feels right.
I currently have limited availability for weekly online sessions. Sessions last 50 minutes and my standard fee is £120.
Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.
