My work centres around an embodied depth psychotherapy, which creates a space where people can slow down and explore their inner experience with honesty and care. Through mindful attention, embodied awareness and compassionate inquiry, I support people in working with anxiety, emotional overwhelm, ADD/ADHD, relationship difficulties and patterns that may be limiting their lives.
Together we explore what may be happening beneath the surface, helping clients develop greater self-understanding, emotional resilience and a deeper sense of connection with themselves and their lives.
While grounded in presence, mindfulness and compassion, my approach is also informed by a transpersonal perspective. This invites exploration of the deeper dimensions of human experience, honouring both psychological processes and the spiritual aspects of one’s being.
I bring a background of over fifteen years as a yoga and meditation teacher; trained in a classical Indian yogic system responsible for developing the deep relaxation technique of Yoga Nidra of which I am also a practitioner. I spent extended periods in India studying with spiritual teachers and exploring contemplative traditions at depth. Trained in Mindfulness-Based Core Process Psychotherapy, my work draws on both my training with The Karuna Institute and my long-standing personal practice, bringing together psychotherapy, contemplative inquiry and my Circling/Surrendered Leadership training in relational mindfulness.
Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.
