My therapeutic practice is focused on the development of a strong, empathic therapeutic relationship whilst being informed by a range of other models including Attachment Theory, Object Relations and Play Therapy. My way of working allows the young people I work with to feel safe and recognised and allows them to better explore their feelings, inner worlds, identity and their sense of self. I work in a client-lead way and facilitate exploration through a number of techniques including talk, play, art, music and drama.
I am a passionate and caring child and adolescent Psychotherapist with over 9 years clinical experience working with young people in a variety of settings. I trained at Terapia where I completed a five-year Masters in Integrative Child and Adolescent Psychotherapy. The integrative nature of my training has exposed me to a wide range of therapeutic techniques and trainings which has allowed me to develop his own therapeutic model. I believe that each young person I works with is unique and therefore I strive to tailor my approach to the individual needs of each young person by developing a strong relationship utilising talk, play and the arts whilst providing consistency and understanding to better understand their needs from therapy.
My primary focus has been working with adolescent boys but I also have experience working with a variety of age groups from under-5's, primary school, secondary school, young adults and adults. I have worked across London and have experience working with a diverse range of client groups. I have a special interest in working with young people from single parent households, addiction and anger.
I hold a Masters in Integrative Child and Adolescent Psychotherapy as well as Postgraduate Diplomas in Adult Counselling and Child and Adolescent counselling from Terapia and Middlesex University as well as a BSC (Hons) in Psychology and Counselling from the University of Roehampton.
