Therapy is about creating the right space, atmosphere and relationship so that the reflecting, processing and healing of your difficulties and can finally take place. It takes a highly skilled and experienced clinician to facilitate this delicate process.
Qualified to Master's level, I am an experienced adult and individual’s psychotherapist practicing an integrative style that draws on the four main theoretical approaches to therapy; psychodynamic (early-life relationships), humanistic (relationship with self), existential (perspectives on life), as well as transpersonal - involving somatic, mindful and creative ways of processing difficult material . I have worked in private practice for 15-years both locally to my home in St Albans, Herts and in London. During this time, I have also worked for the NHS in a clinical setting as part of the Lambeth psychological services team. I am currently a staff member and lecturer in transpersonal psychotherapy at CCPE in London.
Along with talk therapy I have recently begun taking therapy out of the consulting room into the woodland park I live next to. The relaxing, calming and natural space of a woodland or green space is the idea co-therapist for clients. I am fully trained and insured for this.
Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.
