I tend to draw on numerous systemic family therapy approaches, dependent on your needs and circumstances, hoping to help you identify new ways to understand and respond to challenges, but when asked and appropriate, I will always try to offer my own views as to what may be going on.
I am seeing couples and families in person and online (via Zoom), on weekday evenings and weekends. I am able to see clients in Brockley. I charge £110 a session for in person or £80 for online.
Therapy can support couples and families in navigating challenging events, transitions, and patterns of interaction. Having a dedicated space to talk, reflect, and explore new approaches to longstanding or emerging difficulties can be vital—not only for your relationships with one another but also for each person’s individual wellbeing.
At the same time, reaching out for therapy can feel daunting. Whether you're coming as a couple, a parent and child, or a wider family group, it’s important that everyone feels heard, respected, and safe within the process. Creating a space where each voice matters is central to how I work. I also recognise that committing to therapy—emotionally, practically, and financially—can feel like a big step, especially when the path ahead may not be clearly defined. These are things I’ll hold in mind and discuss with you throughout our work together.
Often, one person may be more motivated to attend therapy than others. I see it as part of our early work to explore any hesitations, and to ensure that everyone involved feels that the space belongs to them too. My aim is to support you in building or rebuilding trust, communication, and a greater sense of connection—whatever your unique circumstances.
To tell you a bit about myself: I am a white British, heterosexual man who has lived and worked in London my whole life. Before training as a family therapist, I worked as a children’s social worker in an inner London local authority. I also hold an MA in Gender Studies. As a social worker and now a systemic psychotherapist, I’ve worked in a range of settings over the past eight years, including the NHS, CAMHS, Youth Justice, and social care, with both couples and families from diverse backgrounds and situations.
Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.
