I offer thoughtful, in-depth psychotherapy and supervision for people who want space to think, feel, and change. My work combines psychodynamic and group analytic perspectives with more than 15 years' clinical experience as a consultant psychiatrist, educator and supervisor.
People come to me when life feels complex, when relationships feel difficult, or when professional pressures become overwhelming. Together, we make sense of what's happening — gently, collaboratively, and at depth.
Psychodynamic psychotherapy, mentalisation-based therapy, and EMDR
I have extensive experience as a psychodynamic psychotherapist. My approach is grounded in a nuanced understanding of unconscious processes, attachment dynamics, and the relational patterns that shape how people experience themselves and others, particularly in times of illness, loss, and transition. I also have a particular interest in Jungian analysis, creativity and spirituality.
My clinical work has encompassed a wide range of presentations, including depression, anxiety, trauma, personality difficulties, and complex grief. I have particular expertise in working with sexual and gender diversity, older adults, and individuals living with physical illness or medically unexplained symptoms. I am experienced in the psychodynamic treatment of post-traumatic stress, including cancer-related and medical trauma, and in integrating somatic awareness into the therapeutic process.
Supervision, mentoring, coaching and consultancy for health care and education professionals
If you're looking for a thoughtful, supportive space to reflect on your work, grow in confidence, or navigate the challenges of clinical or educational roles, I'd be delighted to work with you.
I offer supervision, mentoring and coaching to healthcare professionals, educators and therapists. My style is warm, collaborative, and grounded in real-world experience. I bring together skills from psychotherapy and education, underpinned by supervision training with the Institute of Group Analysis (a UKCP-registered organisation). I am a consultant psychiatrist who has also trained as a medical psychodynamic psychotherapist and group
