Damian White, MSc, MSW, BABCP accredited & UKCP registered.
Damian is an existential and Cognitive Behavioural psychotherapist and psychotherapeutic counsellor. His interest in psychotherapy emerged from his experiences as a journalist and international humanitarian worker in Africa and his training in Social Work in England. Damian has twenty years of experience and has worked in a wide range of settings in both the public and private sector including specialist trauma, sexual abuse and addiction services.
He is currently a Tutor in Counselling at Oxford University and a Senior Teaching Fellow at the University of Surrey where he trains students to provide front line NHS anxiety and depression services as part of the government's Improving Access to Psychological Therapy (IAPT) initiative.
Damian combines an existential and cognitive behavioural approach (CBT) to both support and enable his clients to meet the challenges of emerging life issues in both pragmatic and exploratory ways. Damian currently works in private practice in both London and Brighton.
