With a balance of support and challenge, I aim to help you feel more self aware and resilient, ready to take on life's challenges with confidence. I work integratively, which means I use psychodynamic, person-centred, Gestalt and CBT theories and techniques, depending on what works best for you.
Maybe you have an idea what's wrong, maybe you don't and are feeling confused. Perhaps you are going through a major life change, relationship issues, work stress, anxiety, low mood, postnatal worries, or simply don't feel like yourself. Talking through all this with a professional can help. Although I hold a Masters degree in Psychotherapy and Counselling and a BSc in Psychology, I find a good, trusting connection between client and therapist is the most important aspect of therapy. This usually comes from feeling safe, heard, held and not judged, which I prioritise in my work. You are the expert in your experience and I will help you look at what is going on for you and around you to help you make sense of yourself and the reasons you choose to come to therapy.
Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.
