I offer psychoanalytic psychotherapy: a space to explore feelings, experiences and relationships that may be causing distress or difficulty. Sometimes we know exactly what is troubling us; at other times we may feel anxious, low, overwhelmed, angry, lonely or stuck without fully understanding why. Therapy allows us to slow down and make sense of these experiences in a safe and confidential setting.
In our work together, I will listen closely and help you think about what may lie beneath painful feelings, recurring difficulties or patterns in relationships. As we develop a deeper understanding of your emotional life, things that once felt confusing or overwhelming can begin to feel more manageable and meaningful. I aim to offer a warm, reflective and non‑judgemental space, where you can speak openly about whatever is on your mind. Therapy can be challenging at times, but it can also bring relief, insight and the possibility of change.
Whether you are facing a particular crisis or carrying difficulties that have been with you for many years, psychotherapy can help you understand yourself more fully and find new ways of relating to yourself and others.
I offer both short‑term and open‑ended psychotherapy, in person and online.
I am a psychoanalytic psychotherapist and a member of the Guild of Psychotherapists. I work with adults who may be struggling with anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, loss, life transitions, or a more general sense of feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected from themselves.
People seek therapy at different points in their lives. Some come during a crisis; others because they find themselves repeating patterns, struggling in relationships, or sensing that something is missing even if they cannot yet name it. Whatever brings you, therapy offers a space to think and feel with someone alongside you.
My interest in psychotherapy comes from a deep curiosity about emotional life and the stories we carry about ourselves and others. I am interested in how our experiences shape us, often outside our awareness, and how greater understanding can open up new possibilities for living and relating.
Alongside my private practice, I have worked in NHS and charitable settings with people from a wide range of backgrounds and experiences, in both long and short term psychotherapy. I welcome people of all ages, cultures, faiths, sexualities and gender identities.
Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.
