As every client is unique, my practice and approach will be based around you and your needs. However, underpinning this approach is a practice that is trauma-informed and non-judgmental. I am to create a space where we can explore the difficulties you are experiencing at a pace you lead. By questioning and reflecting I aim to help you gain a better understanding of yourself and the issues you face.
Because I work psychodynamically, we may explore early childhood experiences, suppressed or unconscious emotions, and coping strategies that may be affecting your life.
If you would be interested in working together, I offer a free 30-minute initial online consultation to explore what’s brought you to therapy, share more details about how I work, and arrange a first session if you feel you would like to proceed.
Hello and welcome to my profile.
Here's a little about me and how I work.
I am a fully qualified (MSt, University of Oxford) and accredited (UPCA) psychodynamic therapist, working in Oxford and Wallingford, in person and online.
During my time as a marketing manager, I realised that supporting colleagues with their personal issues was becoming more fulfilling than my assigned role. This pushed me to fulfil a long-held wish to become a therapist.
As well as working privately, I have also worked for the past 4 and a half years as a therapist at Riverside Counselling Service, where I worked with a range of issues, including chronic anxiety, co-dependency, bereavement, shame, people pleasing, intrusive thoughts and depression.
