My Approach

Whether you are struggling with the effects of adverse childhood experiences, difficulties in relationships, or feeling stuck and overwhelmed, I aim to provide a professional, compassionate space where you feel heard, understood and supported as you try to make sense of your struggles and things that have happened to you. Therapy can be exploratory, looking at past or present issues, or more directive and goal-oriented - whatever you feel suits your needs and the issues you bring. Healing doesn’t look the same for everyone — so together, we’ll find an approach and a pace that feels right for you, so you can move towards your goals with confidence. I will both support and challenge you in a therapeutic relationship where you feel safe enough to express your thoughts & feelings, without fear of judgement.

About Me

I am a qualified Integrative Psychotherapist and currently work in a NHS Community Mental Health service, providing individual & group psychotherapy for people with severe and enduring mental health conditions, as well as in private practice. I am trained in several different evidence-based therapy approaches, so can tailor the therapy to suit your individual needs and goals. I work with many issues, but I specialise in complex trauma and the many ways it can affect life, relationships, and a sense of self. I have 7 yrs experience supporting clients in NHS secondary care, schools, a rape crisis charity and private practice. I combine psychodynamic, humanistic, CBT & systemic approaches, but my main focus is building a safe, trusting, and genuine therapeutic relationship where you feel accepted and understood. My integrative psychotherapy approach is trauma-informed, so I include mindfulness, psychoeducation, somatic (body) work and creative work when I think it might be helpful for you.
