My aim is to provide a supportive environment where you feel safe to work through difficult issues. I offer a warm, respectful relationship that encourages you to explore new or different ways of living—both in your relationship with yourself and with others. I'm committed to anti-oppressive practices and engage in ongoing learning to ensure my approach continues to affirm and respect the diverse identities and experiences of all clients. My goal is to create an inclusive therapeutic space where you feel safe to bring your whole self.
I understand that experiences, past and present, can impact your wellbeing. My way of working acknowledges the importance of your childhood and past experiences, while focusing on your experiences in the present.
I have experience of working in an NHS setting, with a charity, and in private practice. I teach on counselling programmes and am a clinical supervisor to both individuals and groups of qualified and trainee counsellors/psychotherapists. I've also worked as a specialist mentor to university students with mental health conditions.
I have an MA in Advanced Clinical Practice in Psychotherapy and Counselling and a BA (Hons) in Integrative-Relational Counselling, and have done further training in: working with trauma; attachment, including impacts of racial trauma on attachment; working with neurodivergence; gender, sexuality, and relationship diversity; bodymind approaches; mindfulness; personality disorders; and group therapy. I am committed to continuing development and attend regular training to ensure that my knowledge and skills remain relevant and current.
