My Approach

My work is grounded in psychodynamic psychotherapy, which is based on the understanding that our early experiences, relationships, and unconscious patterns can continue to influence how we think, feel, and relate to others in the present.
I see therapy as a collaborative process. Together, we will explore the thoughts, emotions, and patterns that may be contributing to your current difficulties, helping you make sense of your experiences with greater clarity and self-understanding. While this may involve reflecting on the past, our focus is always on understanding how these experiences affect your life today.
I aim to provide a warm, thoughtful, and non-judgemental therapeutic relationship where you feel safe to speak openly and honestly. I believe that meaningful change can emerge through a trusting therapeutic relationship, increased self-awareness, and a deeper understanding of yourself and your relationships.
Although my work is firmly rooted in psychodynamic psychotherapy, I draw on relational, psychoanalytic, existential, and humanistic perspectives where appropriate, tailoring therapy to each individual's needs while maintaining a consistent psychodynamic framework.

About Me

I am a UKCP Registered Psychodynamic Psychotherapist and BACP Registered Psychotherapist, offering therapy in person in Brighton & Hove and online across the UK.
I work with adults experiencing a wide range of emotional and psychological difficulties, including anxiety, depression, trauma, bereavement, relationship difficulties, low self-esteem, identity issues, addiction, life transitions, and psychosexual concerns. Many of the people I work with feel overwhelmed, emotionally stuck, or find themselves repeating patterns that they struggle to understand or change.
I believe that every person has a unique story and deserves to be met with compassion, curiosity, and respect. My aim is to provide a confidential, thoughtful, and non-judgemental space where you feel safe to explore whatever has brought you to therapy, at a pace that feels right for you.
I understand that beginning therapy can feel like a significant step. Together, we will work to develop a deeper understanding of your experiences, helping you gain greater self-awareness, strengthen your relationships, and create meaningful and lasting change.

Special Interests

Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.

Supporting people experiencing persistent worry, panic, overwhelm, or chronic stress to understand the underlying emotional patterns contributing to their difficulties and develop healthier ways of coping.
Self-Esteem, Identity & Life Transitions Supporting clients struggling with confidence, identity, loss, change, or major life transitions, creating space to explore who they are and how they want to move forward.
Relationships & Attachment Helping individuals explore recurring patterns in relationships, attachment styles, communication difficulties, intimacy, separation, and family dynamics to build healthier and more fulfilling connections.
Psychosexual & Intimacy Concerns Providing a confidential and non-judgemental space to explore difficulties relating to sex, intimacy, desire, sexual functioning, or relationship concerns, informed by additional training in psychosexual psychotherapy.
Trauma & Childhood Experiences Working with adults who are affected by traumatic experiences, neglect, or difficult relationships, helping them process the lasting emotional impact and move towards greater resilience and self-understanding.
