My Approach

My approach is grounded in psychosynthesis, a psychotherapeutic model that works with all of you: your thoughts, emotions, imagination, and the deeper sense of who you are and who you're becoming. This isn't about fixing what's broken. It's about reconnecting with what's already there. Together, we slow down the noise and create space for you to hear yourself.

My work is fluid and intuitive, shaped by what you bring to each session. Alongside talking, I draw on meditation techniques and include the body in our work, and I'm open to creative approaches when they're appropriate and in service of what you need.

About Me

As a UKCP-registered Psychotherapeutic Counsellor, I offer a deep, relational space to help you explore and understand what's beneath what you're experiencing — the patterns, past experiences, and relationships that continue to shape your present life.

People often come to me at times of transition, looking for support with self-esteem, anxiety, and relationship difficulties — and underlying all of this, a search to understand themselves more deeply. Our work might be short-term and focused, or longer-term and more exploratory, depending on what you need.

If this resonates, I offer an initial conversation to talk through what's bringing you to therapy and see if we're a good fit to work together.

Special Interests

Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.

Anxiety often shows up as a part of us working overtime to keep us safe. Rather than treating it as something to eliminate, I work with clients to understand what that anxious part is trying to protect, and to build a felt sense of a calmer, more spacious "I" that can hold the anxiety without being run by it.
Depression can leave people feeling cut off — from energy, from meaning, from themselves. I draw on psychosynthesis to gently explore what's been exiled or silenced, and to reconnect clients with a sense of will and purpose, even in small, achievable steps.
Many of us carry several different "selves" — the confident one, the anxious one, the people-pleaser — and can lose track of who's underneath them all. I use psychosynthesis's idea of subpersonalities to help clients get to know these different parts and find a more stable sense of Self that isn't defined by any single one of them.
Relationship difficulties often reflect patterns and parts of ourselves that get activated by closeness. I help clients notice these dynamics with curiosity rather than judgment, working towards relating from a grounded centre rather than reacting from old wounds or roles.
For clients for whom meaning, purpose, or a sense of something greater is important, psychosynthesis offers a therapeutic space that doesn't pathologise this — it's a transpersonal approach that takes spiritual experience seriously as part of human development, not separate from psychological work.
