Family and Systemic Psychotherapy.
I offer a containing, non judgemental and respectful space in a calm and attractively furnished therapy room.
My focus is on supporting you as family members and people in relationships to talk together in ways that allow a better understanding and support for each other. I hope you can build on your strengths and values, to find ways forward for hoped for change.
Building a trusting therapeutic relationship with you is core to my work.
As an experienced therapist I tailor my input to you and all of your family members’ needs, this may be a combination of talking therapy, creative approaches, play and active approaches. I bring an integrative approach drawing on many styles of therapy that I have had training in ( compassion focussed therapy as an example ). I bring a holistic approach attending to mind-body connections, attachment, spiritual and cultural aspects and I work in a trauma informed way.
I have training in couples and relationship work and particularly enjoy working with people who are gender, sexuality and relationship diverse. I am competent and affirmative working with people in consensually non-monogamous relationships, including work with polycules.
I offer individual work where we can explore the relationship you have with yourself and your relationship with others, taking into consideration your context and experience in the world, to find the best lived experience for yourself in line with your values and authentic self. I am interested in the stories we tell ourselves about our lives and in helping reshape these if they are not currently serving us.
I particularly enjoy working with neurodivergent people, and offer an affirmative approach and reasonable adjustments to support access and equity. If we work together I will ask what will be useful for you in this regard.
