Being integrative means I specialise in multiple modalities and therapeutic interventions including: psychodynamic and relationship-based approaches, nervous system and emotion regulation work, attachment work, somatic work and parts work.
Over my years of training and practice I have come to see how nervous system dysregulation lies at the heart of almost every challenge we encounter. A dysregulated nervous system, be it due to trauma, anxiety, depression, neurodiversity, stress, repressed feelings, grief, relationship issues, low self-esteem, addictive behaviours, suicidality or any other struggle, robs us of a sense of ease and well-being.
Working at the level of our nervous system, also known as working somatically, can bring about powerful and long-term change. Through understanding how our nervous system is set up to protect us we can begin to understand our mindsets, behaviours and patterns. It is a compassionate way of working that helps us make sense of our ways of being and, where necessary, learn healthier, new ways of being. No matter what our past looks like, and what our present struggles are, working in this way restores a sense of safety and security, the prerequisite for living well.
I amn DBS checked and engage in regular supervision to support my practice. I work in line with the UKCP Code of Ethics and Professional Practice. My private practice is based in North West London.
I am an integrative child, adolescent and adult psychotherapist. I work in a compassionate, confidential and collaborative way providing a safe, non-judgmental space in which to explore difficulties and develop insights to facilitate change. I seek to enable clients to discover how to live with a greater sense of well-being and self-confidence.
