My work is grounded in Humanistic Psychology, Object Relations Theory, and Psychoanalytic Self-Psychology. I practise from a trauma-informed, relational-developmental perspective, with particular attention to how early relational experiences shape patterns of attachment, identity, emotional regulation, and relationships in adult life.
I place the therapeutic relationship at the centre of the work and aim to offer a collaborative, non-judgemental space in which clients can explore complex or long-standing difficulties. My approach is tailored to each individual, with sensitivity to difference, power, and lived experience.
I work holistically and with awareness of the body, recognising that emotional and relational experiences are often held somatically as well as cognitively. Where appropriate, and always with explicit consent and clear ethical boundaries, my work may include carefully considered embodied or sensory elements to support regulation and relational safety, including the considered use of touch.
I am interested in supporting clients to integrate different parts of themselves and to develop more compassionate, connected ways of relating to both themselves and others.
I am an Integrative Psychotherapist practising across Staffordshire and the West Midlands. I work with adults and young people in both short-term and longer-term psychotherapy, with a particular interest in depth-oriented and relational work.
My experience spans private practice, educational settings, counselling centres, charitable organisations, and online work. I have also worked within and alongside multi-agency contexts, supporting complex presentations and engaging with safeguarding and professional systems as part of my roles.
Alongside clinical work, my background includes teaching, reflective practice, and psychoeducational input within professional settings. This informs my interest in supporting practitioners and teams through thoughtful, psychologically informed reflection.
I am committed to inclusive, reflective practice and have experience working with clients from diverse cultural backgrounds, as well as those who identify as neurodivergent or LGBTQIA+. I aim to offer a thoughtful, respectful space in which clients can explore their experiences at a pace that feels safe and manageable.
Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.
