My approach is relational, which means I see therapy as something we create together through conversation, reflection and trust over time. I believe many of the ways we cope and relate to others develop from our earlier experiences and relationships, and therapy helps bring greater understanding and choice around these patterns.
I work in the 'here and now' to help you get to know and understand yourself and your patterns, and support you to find new, more creative and satisfying ways of relating.
I offer a free consultation where we can explore what brings you to therapy, what you are hoping for, and whether working together feels like a good fit.
I am a UKCP registered psychotherapist working with individuals, couples and groups online via Zoom and in person in Totnes, South Devon. My approach is grounded in curiosity, honesty, compassion and appropriate challenge.
I specialise in helping people understand the relational patterns and emotional dynamics that may be keeping them stuck. My work is informed by attachment, developmental and psychodynamic theories and an interest in the deeper unconscious processes that shape how we relate to ourselves and others.
I aim to help clients understand their own way of seeing and responding to the world, and to recognise their patterns without judgement or blame, so they can begin to develop more exciting, authentic and connected ways of living.
Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.
