For me, the most important thing is understanding each young person as unique and seeing the world through their eyes. I work from a child-centred position, meaning that I am responsive to the individual needs of each client and I trust in their process. I can offer short and longer term work depending on the individual presenting issues and goals.
My core training is in working integratively with young people, using arts, play and talking therapies. I am also trained in TheraPlay and Dyadic Development Psychotherapy (DDP) and I use Beacon House's model to work with Developmental Trauma.
I am a UKCP accredited Child and Adolescent Psychotherapeutic Counsellor who trained at Cambridge University's Faculty of Education. I specialise in working with children, adolescents and young people experiencing anxiety, depression, life changes, relational difficulties, neurodivergence, gender dysphoria and eating disorders.
I believe that all young people can find meaning and joy in life; my aim is to support wellbeing & nurture growth.
Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.
